The artefacts give us an idea of the activities that took place in Ishango,
although only a partial idea because only the most resistant materials survived.
- Objects and remnants made of rocky material: quartz, various rocks of volcanic origin, sandstone.
- Fossilized bone parts: artefacts and animal and human bones.
Plant materials which would have been in the region, such as wood for example.
And also other animal materials, such as the skin.
The stone tools were not just for hunting but also were used to make other objects from everyday life: clothes, shelters etc.
